Shopping Application System With NFC Based On Android

Abstract –In recent years, the way of shopping has changed from small shops to the shopping centre and E-commerce site. Every System has some disadvantages. The purpose of Shopping Application System With NFC Based On Android is to overcome the problems of traditional shopping and provide more convenient and user-friendly shopping experience to the customer. The customer scans the product by using their NFC-supported smartphone. In the shopping centre, group of a similar product would have 1Nfc tag which contains all the information about the products. Information includes image of products, a brief description of the product, price etc. customer can touch or wave their mobile on NFC tag and add the product to the shopping basket and they can also edit the basket any time during shopping. This application also provides a method such as maps, user identifier, new product notification, alternate product, and offers. At the merchant end, a customer can pay for their goods by cash, credit card, smartcard, and mobile wallet. Shopping Application System With NFC Based On Android
PROPOSED SYSTEM The proposed system will help to solve the problems of traditional shopping. It also offers the more new shopping experience to the consumer. The customer uses their own NFC-supported smartphone for shopping. The customer can download and install the application from Google play store. Customer first signs up for shopping process and it requires minimum details like name, email id, mobile no. After sign up customer will get his login id and password through email. In the shopping centre, group of a similar product would have 1Nfc tag which contains all the information about the products. Information includes image of products, a brief description of the product, price etc. customer can touch or wave their mobile on NFC tag and add the product to the shopping basket and they can also edit the basket any time during shopping. This application also provides a method such as maps, user identifier, new product notification, alternate product, and offers. Before shopping ,customer can make shopping list in their mobile and keep track of their budget. At the merchant end, administrator would be responsible for manage all the shopping process. Administrator can see sales history and add or delete the employee. Each employee has login id and password to access the computer for billing purpose. Once done with shopping customer need to give their login id to get billing done. Customer could pay for their goods by cash, credit card, smartcard, mobile wallet. Customer need to refill their wallet at merchant end. After printing the bill shopping information like customer id,employee id ,product id ,date and time of shopping will be store in database. Processing time of application for communication between smartphone and server is 1-2 seconds. Payment could be made through existing payment system .In future, NFC based payment could be applied for this application.
CONCLUSION: The software model that is used for developing application would be a prototype. The entire shopping process is based on NFC technology. This will be created as a model. Users can also verify expenditure. It benefits users by simplifying entire shopping process. Thus, consumers will feel more easy and convenient to do the shopping. The shopping process will be more simple as compared to existing systems. Applications created with simple design in order to understand purpose. The design process can be created and adapted to the shopping process according to future to make it more effective and user-friendly. There still remains much to do in terms of improvement of the existing models.
